Chapter 1
I want to share my story here because I know that reading such texts can really help people with DPDR (look at chapter 2 point 2 as it can also have contradictory effects).
My DPDR started 4 years ago, just before the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic. It didn't occur due to drug use, marijuana, or childhood traumas. That's still the strange part for me. I don't really know what caused my DPDR.
The first thing I distinctly remember is looking in the mirror until I no longer felt that I looked at myself but someone else. I was immediately shocked and felt disconnected from my body, experiencing depersonalization, I started jumping up and down to regain the feeling of "me," but it didn't work.
All of this happened in the middle of the exam period, so maybe that had something to do with it: stress, exhaustion, etc.
From a young age, I've always been someone who pondered deep philosophical questions about life. At the age of 7, I ran downstairs from my bed crying, saying, "Mom, Dad, I'm too young to die," or "Mom, Grandpa shouldn't die." I was already wondering if there was something after death, but I realized that most likely there's just nothing, and that scared me.
During the period when my first DPDR symptoms appeared (age 15), I was also asking deep questions like: What if there was nothing—no life, no planet Earth, no universe? What are we? What is the purpose of our existence? DPDR only made this worse.
One very dark night with severe derealisation, I was thinking about existential questions like these and had a panic attack. I went downstairs to tell my parents that I couldn't sleep. Just for clarity, I hadn't done this since I was 10 or 11 years old. I never talked to my parents about my feelings or problems, so this was a very special event.
Luckily, my mom was there to comfort me, and I went back upstairs. But it didn't get better—I was still thinking about why there is something(the world/universe) and who I am. I completely lost the sense of "self"; I didn't know who I was. When I looked at myself, there was another person, even my thoughts didn't seem like mine. I wasn't my body, my mind, etc.
After lying there for what I thought were 2-3 hours, I went back downstairs to tell my parents that I still couldn't sleep, and then my dad said, "But you've only been upstairs for 5 minutes." Then I really thought I was fucked up in my mind, I didn’t know about DPDR back then.
Luckily I haven't experienced anything as severe since then.
What really helped me in these dark times is saying to myself that even if i didn't know who I was, I knew I was someone who didn't know who he was. You are always someone.
Knowing that there was this thing called DPDR really comforted me, by knowing that I wasnt losing my mind and that there were more people experiencing this.

Chapter 2
Now I'm going to tell you what helped me recover from DPDR. First and foremost, I want to give some disclaimers. Everyone is different, and I'm not a medical or psychological expert. I'm just sharing what worked for me, and I hope it can work for you too.

This really helped me; it resonated with my experience, and when the Ryan said, "There is nothing actually wrong with you," it reassured me completely.
In today's technologically advanced world, everyone is looking for a magic pill that instantly cures them, BUT IT DOESN'T EXIST.
2.
As mentioned in the video, STOP WATCHING VIDEOS ABOUT OR READING ABOUT DPDR, STOP ALL INFO ABOUT IT.
Stop imposing DPDR on yourself, stop obsessing over it. Let go and stop giving a fuck. There's nothing wrong with you; you're just anxious. Stop caring. Erase your watch history and every DPDR video recommendation on TikTok, YouTube, and all social media. This really helped me. You will get better!!
3.
Exercise, go outside, feel the wind, the birds, the trees,... Begin to reconnect with the world again. If DPDR comes to mind, acknowledge it, say that you're okay with it, and tell it to fuck off so you can go on with your life.
Same as with you'r feelings, acknowledge them if you're angry you're angry, if you're sad you're sad, feel again!!!
Stop being afraid of DPDR; it won't kill you. Tell it to fuck off.
4.
SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP, and SLEEP.
Stop watching videos in your bed! Get a minimum of 8 hours of sleep or even more. Stay committed, sleep well. Sleep should be the number one priority in everyone's life. Your body and mind will thank you.

The cool thing is that I didn't have DPDR in my dreams. So i loved being asleep, but because of my excistential crisis's at night I hated falling asleep.
SO just sleep, it's important!
5.
Go to a therapist.
Talk about it, even if it's with family or someone close to you. Just talk about it; it will help you! Consider seeing a therapist. For me, it really helped calm me down, reassured me that it's okay to have these feelings, and made me stop stressing about it.
However, after she comforted me, I felt like it was holding me back. I became derealised when i went to her, same effect as Pavlov's dog if you know what I mean.
6.
Carry on with your life; don't let DPDR stop you. Remember that it's okay to have DPDR sometimes. I haven't completely recovered from DPDR myself, and sometimes I have more intense periods. For me, it usually happens due to stress.
I'm currently getting my driver's license, and sometimes I experience severe DPDR in the car, while other times I don't. Just don't give it a chance to overpower you. Tell it to fuck off and forget about it.
That's it.
Let this be the last article/video/everything you search for about DPDR.
Even if the Reddit group triggers your DPDR, I recommend not following it anymore.
And just like “Ryan Monte” said, "Stop caring about it; you will get over it quicker than you think!"

What is SATS?
State Akin to Sleep (SATS) refers to the deep state of consciousness during meditation or just before falling asleep. In SATS, the body is relaxed, but control over the mind is retained. It is used to create vivid visualizations in imagination for the purposes of manifesting.
After you have decided on the action which implies that your desire has been realized, then sit in your nice comfortable chair or lie flat on your back, close your eyes for the simple reason it helps to induce this state that borders on sleep. The minute you feel this lovely drowsy state, or the feeling of gathered togetherness, wherein you feel- I could move if I wanted to, but I do not want to, I could open my eyes if I wanted to, but I do not want to. When you get that feeling you can be quite sure that you are in the perfect state to pray successfully.

I remember growing up my mum had a group of 3 friends she would go out with and spend time with all the time, after I came out as trans 2 years ago (my mum was super supportive) I noticed she stopped seeing them as much. At first I didn’t connect the two events together until I was out in the town center where I live and I came across one of the friends, (I’ve seen these people my entire life) il call her J for this story, she was out with her grandson who I also knew pretty well. I noticed she was staring at me so as I passed her I said hello to both her and her grandson, he gave the socially awkward kid head nod but J looked away and ignored me completely and then proceeded to walk away, I know it’s been two years since I’ve seen her but I haven’t changed that much, just a haircut, I’m sure she recognised me.

I need time to gather my thoughts after reading this book. It has so many layers of meaning that at the time I finished it, I need to contemplate the story. I will write about my love for it first. This book is right on my alley because dark academia is why I picked up this book. Surrounded by an academic environment with classics, languages, and poetry is what I look for in a book. Besides that, the morally grey characters give me thrilling moments. Richard, Henry, Charles, Francis, Camellia, and Bunny is a group of French studying Greek at university. They are all well-off and privileged and always appear in front of people with studious and fashionable appearances. But that is just their disguise to hide the ugly parts. Even though Richard is not that, he isn't better than them. After the murder of Bunny, Richard starts to the real of them. How ugly, morbid, and manipulative they are, especially Henry. I know Henry is the cause of all this disturbing event, but I can't help to interest in him. He is cold, but at the same time, he is also gentle. He said that he had never felt alive until this horror murder happened. This group of friends genuinely love Julian - their professor as a father figure. And when he finds out about the murder, he runs away immediately. That is when they know his real face. He always acts generously, and warmly toward people, but he just does it because it makes him look perfect. Henry is the one who feels the most shock and betrayal. Julian did exactly the opposite of what he taught. This is the reason why Henry committed suicide after that. Maybe he wanted to live up to the values that he hold close to his heart. I had never seen it coming. And it took me time to digest this, to find signals showing that. The ending is kind of comforting. They go on with their lives, but no one gets their happy ending, and they deserve it after the cold bloody behaviors and actions

They have experienced panic attacks, constant nightmares, and been under great incessant pressure of interrogation, but they have never reflected on their action. Yes! Slippi is a branch of the Dolphin emulator that will allow you to play online, either with your friends or with matchmaking. Go to https://slippi.gg to get it.
Netplay is hard! Is there a place for me to find new players?
Yes. Melee Newbie Netplay is a discord server specifically for new players. It also has tournaments based on how long you've been playing, free coaching, and other stuff. If you're a bit more experienced but still want a discord server for players around your level, we recommend the Melee Online discord.
How can I set up Unclepunch's Training Mode?
First download it here. Then extract everything in the folder and follow the instructions in the README file. You'll need to bring a valid Melee ISO (NTSC 1.02)
I'm having issues with Slippi!
Go to the The Slippi Discord to get help troubleshooting.
How does one learn Melee?

Steve Bannon, the former White House chief strategist and advisor to the President of the United States, has fallen from the top of the U.S. political arena to the bottom of the arrest ladder in a short period of time. Not only was he forced to cut his seat with former U.S. President Donald Trump and then lost the support of his big money maker, but he was also arrested for the congressional disruption on January 6 this year and for alleged fraud and money laundering in a crowdfunding project to build a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico. Bannon, 51, met publisher Andrew Breitbart in 2004 when he was making a biographical film, and in 2007 they teamed up to launch BreitbartNews.com. Through the site, Bannon advocated white supremacy, opposed multiculturalism, and emphasized the defense of so-called "Western values" in an effort to make it an "alternative right-wing" media platform. Bannon also used this to rise through the ranks until he became president of the site.
Bannon, 53, was inadvertently favored by the Mercer Family Foundation for his advocacy of "white supremacy," and with its support, Bannon became vice chairman of the board of directors of Cambridge Analytica, a British company. The company's subsequent involvement in political campaigns to promote Britain's exit from the European Union and interference in the 2016 U.S. election added to Bannon's political resume and laid the foundation for his future White House political career.
Bannon, 63, became the head of Trump's campaign team under the operation of the Mercer Family Foundation. During the campaign, Bannon, by virtue of his influence in American public opinion, created a sound bite for Trump by sparing no effort to speak out, while orchestrating various conspiracy theories to suppress Hillary. In the end, he helped Trump win the 2016 U.S. election, and Bannon was promoted to chief strategist of the White House and senior adviser to the president, becoming a red-hot "new favorite" in the U.S. political arena.
The 64-year-old Bannon, driven by the "white supremacy" that he constantly advocates in 2017, members of the far-right group broke out in Charlottesville, the United States (Charlottesville) racist riots, and Trump, who has been accused of public opinion, immediately decided to draw a line with Bannon. In retaliation, Bannon exposed the internal scandals of the Trump administration in his book "Fire and Fury", which also completely angered Trump and made his biggest benefactor, the Mercer Family Foundation, decide to cut ties with Bannon.
